We've worked with Joel for 8 seasons and on our first trip to Honduras we saw these Geisha seedlings in Joel's nursery. Now, we're seeing the first harvest of this delicious and complex coffee. These seeds came from Benjamin Paz, our exporting partner from Beneficio San Vicente, and Joel planted them at the very top of his farm, Linda Vista. Once picked, this coffee underwent a double anaerobic fermentation, where the whole cherries ferment in grain pro bags for 3 days, and is then de-pulped before returning to the bags for an additional 3 days. To add more fruit flavor, body, and sweetness, the coffee is washed with only one pass of water, before being put out to dry on new drying beds at the base of the farm. Joel Guzman has everything we look for in our producing partners and this complex and vibrant Geisha is something we've been anticipating for many years. We couldn't be more excited to share it with
our loyal customers.
