Juan Contreras has been farming coffee in the Santa Barbara region of Honduras for a number of years. This honey-processed coffee forms a delicious balance between the fruity sweetness of a natural coffee and the well-rounded flavors of a washed coffee.
The Pacas variety originated in El Salvador and was introduced to Honduras in 1974. The varietal is a natural mutation from the Bourbon, thus carrying exceptional sweetness. Once brewed, Juan Contreras has a syrupy mouth-feel with notes of apricot, hazelnut and honey butter.
