Yabitu Koba is back after a few years and this coffee wraps up our supply of Uragas for the 2021 season. The Welichu Wachu company was established in October 2017 and employs over 750 people at three processing sites and services thousands of farmers. The coffee from this region is grown in and around the Ugo Begne forest and is classified as forest, semi-forest or garden grown. These coffees are unique as the farmer is loosely cultivating and/or foraging wild coffee growing naturally in the surrounding forest giving a stark contrast to more traditional farming practices. These forest coffees tend to express a wild flavor profile that reminds us of ripe melon, fig with light hibiscus florals.
